International students - Admission


A. NON-EU CANDIDATES FROM OUTSIDE OF ROMANIA

STEP 1:    8 January – 28 March
- Online application on website;,
- Gathering of applications by IRO;
- Counseling candidates for completing applications.

STEP 2:   15 January – 17 April
- Evaluation of applications by faculty / IOSUD / DLMC;
- Issuing of the Pre-enrolment consent / Rejection.

                   3 February – 9 May
- Centralization of the Pre-enrolment consent / Rejection lists from the faculties / IOSUD / DLMC and the databese entries accompanying those decisions;
- Informing the candidates about the status of applications;
- Submitting applications to the Ministry of Education.

STEP 3:    17 February – 27 June
- Issuance of the official response by the Ministry of Education (Letter of Acceptance for studies / Rejection of the application).

                   17 February – 18 July
- Payment of tuition fees;
- Issuance of certificate for visa application to candidates for whom ME issues Letter of acceptance.

STEP 4 (specializations):    22 September – 10 October
- • Handing in of the complete set of original documents and enrolment in specialzations.

STEP 4 (preparatory year) :  22 September – 31 October
- Handing in of the complete set of original documents and enrolment in the preparatory year of romanian language.


B. NON-EU CANDIDATES WITH VALID RESIDENCE RIGHTS IN ROMANIA

PRE-REGISTRATION:    14 – 28 July
- Online pre-registration for special admission session.

STEP 1:    1 – 5 September
- Online application on website;
- Gathering of applications by IRO;
- Counseling candidates for completing applications.

STEP 2:    8 – 15 September
- Evaluation of applications by faculty / IOSUD / DLMC;
- Issuing of the Pre-enrolment consent / Rejection.

                   16 - 18 September
- Centralization of the Pre-enrolment consent / Rejection lists from the faculties / IOSUD / DLMC and the databese entries accompanying those decisions;
- Informing the candidates about the status of applications;
- Submitting applications to the Ministry of Education.

STEP 3:    September - October
- Issuance of the official response by the Ministry of Education (Letter of Acceptance for studies / Rejection of the application).

STEP 4 :    22 – 29 September
- Handing in of the complete set of original documents and enrolment.


NOTES regarding the above timeline:

• The average file processing time at TUCN is a fortnight. Mandatory condition: the file must be complete. An incomplete file will not be processed, the file processing fee will not be refunded, and the candidate will receive a refusal from the university
• There is no separate master’s program in Architecture, as TUCN offers an integrated B.Sc. + M.Sc. (6 years of study).

The candidate must complete the application form,pay the file processing fee (show / hide) and submit online all the required documents here.

The candidate’s file must contains the following documents:

  • Birth certificate – copy and legalized translation;
  • Copy of the ID which states the permanent residence in the country of origin;
  • Copy of the passport;
  • The Application for the issuance of the letter of acceptance to studies – it MUST be filled in with capital letters and all fields are mandatory;
  • High School Graduation Diploma or its equivalent – copy and legalized translation, authenticated (show / hide)by the authorities in the issuing country;
  • Bachelor’s Degree Diploma or its equivalent – copy and legalized translation, authenticated by the authorities in the issuing country;
  • Transcript of Records / Diploma Supplement – copy and legalized translation for all years of studies;
  • Language proficiency certificate (minimum level for the Romanian language B1 or CAMBRIDGE, IELTS, TOEFL, DELF, etc. at minimum level B2 for English, French, German);
  • Medical certificate (issued in an international language) to certify that the candidate does not suffer from contagious diseases or from conditions that are incompatible with the prospective profession;
  • File processing fee receipt.

The file shall be uploaded in the application provided.
The holder of the documents assumes responsibility for their authenticity.
All documents not originally issued in English, French or Romanian must be accompanied by legalized translations in one of these three languages.

The candidate’s file is being analyzed by the faculty board based on the following criteria:

  • the marks received during high school/university studies;
  • the academic activity of the candidate in the field of education selected;
  • the training capacity of the university;

Note: The only documents of study that will be taken into account are the ones issued by an accredited institution

The Faculty may then issue a Pre-enrolment Consent or a Refusal.

  • In case of Consent, the candidate must confirm the application by completing a Confirmation form obtained from IRO .
  • In case of Refusal, the candidate is informed by e-mail.

Note: Incomplete files will not be processed and the processing fee will not be refunded.

As soon as the conditions at STEP 2, 2 a are met, IRO will send the candidate’s complete file to the Ministry of National Education for the Letter of Acceptance to studies to be issued.

  • In case of Acceptance, the Ministry sends the Letter of Acceptance to studies to the university. In turn, TUCN then sends the original document to the address provided by the candidate.
  • In case of Refusal, the candidate is informed by e-mail.

After receiving the original Letter of Acceptance to studies, the candidate must contact the Romanian Embassy in the native or nearest country and obtain the b>visa for studies , which is mandatory.

Note: The Letter of Acceptance to studies is valid only beginning with the academic year mentioned in the document.

The prospective student must present the following items and documents to the International Relations Office (IRO) of TUCN:

  • All original documents plus copies of the original documents included in the candidate’s file (see STEP 1);
  • Letter of Acceptance to Studies;
  • The bank receipt as proof of having paid the tuition fee for 9 months in advance for the self-financed student;
  • 4 passport-sized photos;

If the file is valid, they will complete the registration at the faculty, from where they will receive documents necessary for obtaining the residence permit, the transportation card and so on.

Note1: IN CASE THE DOCUMENTS OF STUDIES HAVE NOT BEEN ORIGINALLY ISSUED IN ENGLISH OR FRENCH, LEGALIZED TRANSLATIONS ARE BEING REQUIRED.
